NESCA and Chatterboxes Join Forces
Newton, MA (PRWEB) June 30, 2008 -- NESCA (Neuropsychology & Education Services for Children & Adolescents) and Chatterboxes, a prominent Boston-based speech/language pathology practice owned and operated by Megan Rozantes, M.S., CCC-SLP and her husband, Evan Charles, have formed an alliance.
According to NESCA Director Dr. Ann Helmus, "Our two groups are such a natural fit, because both share the same commitment to professional excellence and compassionate patient care, and serve substantially the same group of special-needs children, many of whom clearly stand to benefit from access to an expanded range of services more readily available under one roof."
Chatterboxes Founder and Director Megan Rozantes added, "This collaboration will allow for the creation of a more comprehensive, team-based approach for both practice's patients, through increased communication between their neuropsychologists and speech-language pathologists."
Regarding the affiliation with NESCA, Mrs. Rozantes remarked, "We are proud to be associated with a group of highly-experienced practitioners whose goal of providing paramount services to its patients is directly in-line with our own."
Mrs. Rozantes and her staff will conduct speech/language evaluations and provide therapeutic services at NESCA's Newton offices. Dr. Helmus and other NESCA clinicians will see clients at Chatterboxes' offices, in the historic Charles Street Meeting House, at the corner of Charles and Mt. Vernon Streets in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood.
Chatterboxes is a 100% therapist-owned, pediatric speech-language pathology and feeding private practice located in Boston's Beacon Hill neighborhood. Their highly experienced therapists focus on the assessment and treatment of preschool to school-aged, elementary and high school children dealing with developmental and communication disorders, including Autism Spectrum Disorders, speech, language, articulation and feeding issues.
They offer a full-range of SLP programs including feeding, language, early intervention, oral motor, expressive and receptive language disorders, phonemics awareness, auditory processing, executive functioning, stuttering/fluency, tongue thrust, apraxia of speech/motor speech disorders and social skills/pragmatic therapy.
Megan Rozantes is particularly proud of Chatterboxes' "Extra Mile" philosophy, shared by NESCA, which permeates all facets of the services provided by both practices. She notes that, "The services we offer at both Chatterboxes and NESCA aim to go far above and beyond the expected." Both practices are well-known and highly regarded in their respective fields, as numerous client and professional testimonials attest. Each takes pride in its willingness to "go the extra mile" on behalf of its clients.
NESCA and Chatterboxes will remain administratively independent of each other. To make appointments, prospective clients should contact whichever practice seems best able to provide the most appropriate services. About NESCA: NESCA offers a full range of neuropsychological testing, diagnostic and treatment services, specializing in the evaluation and remediation of nonverbal and other learning disabilities, assessment of executive functioning and ADHD, special education issues, school placements and tutoring, as well as psycho-diagnostic projective testing, counseling, social skills development and mind-body integration.
NESCA tests, evaluates and treats children - aged pre-school through adolescence - who are confronted by developmental, learning or emotional challenges. Although many of the children we evaluate would traditionally have been seen in a hospital setting, parents choose us because they appreciate our friendliness and accessibility, the much higher degree of personal care we provide, and our eagerness and ability to follow-through, long-term.

MORE ARTICLES: Yahoo Closes Chat Rooms As a concerned adult who has been involved in online chat for almost six years, I was pleased to see the article regarding the closure of privately owned rooms on Yahoo. My concerns for children and teenagers online have grown over the past years as I have come into contact with people online that I, as a parent, would never have wanted my children to be around, even just on the Internet.
